If the steps to grow a garden are the same steps to grow your money, then watering your garden would be analogous to managing the flow of your money.
A healthy garden needs an irrigation system that automates the flow of water. It needs to be on timers so that your fruits and flowers get the right amount of nutrients. This system needs to run automatically, without you having to worry about it every day. And if it’s automated and systemized, the garden has a greater chance of success.
Just like water needs to move, so does money. That’s why it’s called currency. If it sits too long, it begins to leak from the reservoir. Or it attracts bugs and pests in the form of expenses and fees. And if we do not automate and systemize the flow of money, we will invariably spend all our money rather than invest it. A proper money management system ensures that money gets directed to the right places at the right time and is imperative to getting your current needs to be met, while building long-term and sustainable wealth.
